The welcoming back of Spring continues as we share photos from Brianna and Evan’s Garrison, New York wedding. It was our first trip to The Garrison and we immediately fell in love with the venue.
The outdoor ceremony garden was simply beautiful, with the scenic Highlands as a backdrop. We brought a variety of soft textural flowers and foliage to adorn the Bittersweet Vine Pergola that remains on site. The structure is open yet holds a bold presence. The idea behind the design for this structure was that we wanted to soften the boldness of the Bittersweet Vine by using elements that had more of a light and airy feel. The flowers and foliage were designed to appear as though they were naturally growing in various areas throughout the structure. Ingredients included Spirea, hellebore, lilac, passion vine and sweet pea – some of May’s finest offerings!
The reception was held in the River Room which was full of natural light, floor to ceiling windows and wooden furnishings. A few of our favorite things! Brianna loved the idea of lower understated centerpieces for the tables which happens to be our speciality. The palette was fresh and neutral full of both lush and textural flowers – peonies, garden roses, hellebore and ranunculus.
It was also our first time meeting and working with Kelsey Combe. Kelsey did an amazing job capturing so many details that made this wedding so special. Thank you for all the beautiful photos Kelsey!
