Spring happens to be one of our favorite flower seasons so Mike and I thought it would be the perfect time to host our very first floral design workshop. We welcomed 11 women into our Cold Spring Harbor boutique and it turned out to be an incredibly beautiful day.
…but have to admit I was a bit nervous! The days leading up to the workshop all I could think about was “how to I explain what I do?”. Finally I sat down and started writing my step-by-step process. It was really important to me that my design process was clearly expressed so that each attendee left feeling not only creatively inspired but also with the foundational skills to help continue their floral design journey. The best advice I can give aspiring floral designers or experienced designers looking to learn something new is to keep practicing and enjoy the journey. Even with 15 years of design experience I still consider myself a forever student. My artistry is constantly evolving.
Our talented friend Stacey Kaufmann of Dear Stacey Photography beautifully captured the day. Thank you for everything Stacey! xo

Special thanks and love to each of the attendees that joined us. This workshop wouldn’t have happened without you!
