Blue Hill At Stones Barns has become one of those venues that pulls at our heart strings. Located in the country, outdoor ceremony space, organic (yet elegant) details, natural light, caters to one couple at a time – it’s the total package and we are in love! This wedding was a dream come true for us, especially for having the opportunity to work with the legendary¬†Christian Oth Studio.¬†

The details behind Tanya and Franks’s vision were simple – refined, organic, understated. Our favorite! We worked with a neutral palette of white, cream and green combined with metallics and clear glass. Locally grown dahlias, garden roses from Rose Story Farm, ranunculus, freesia and jasmine vine were the main elements in our flower recipe.¬†

Our favorite part of the day was designing a gorgeous ceremony space for Tanya and Frank. In addition to the arch that was full of garden roses, lisianthus, freesia and smilax vine, we lined the entire aisle (including the back row of chairs) with over 30 “ground compositions”. We prepped the base of these compositions the day before by lightly greening them up which saved us a lot of time the day of. On site we added stalky flowers and airy textures including stock, snap dragons, queen anne’s lace and statice. The staff at Blue Hill was so kind to provide us with an indoor workspace with a/c (thank you!!). A life saver in the middle of August! This was the first time we created ceremony decor on this level and we were all super pleased with the way everything came together. So now that my nervousness has been cured “ground compositions” are my new favorite design to create!

We are so excited to head back to Blue Hill this Summer for 2 more weddings! Lets keep them coming – xoxo
